We Create The Life You Love & Building A Better Life
My name is Greg Burt. I have a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology. I worked for the Department of Veteran Affairs for 33 years. I retired as Deputy District Director overseeing over 73 VA Counseling Centers. I am a certified Professional Life and Mental Health Coach. My specialties are in relationship and behavioral health coaching. I have been married over 30 years. As your Relationship Coach I would like to start off my saying, “Good Men Cheat”. I will teach you how to rebuild trust and intimacy with your wife/partner again. You will learn how to stop blaming her and start empowering yourself. Infidelity can have a devastating impact and cause an increase in anxiety, depression and attachment issues as well as a decrease in self-esteem. I will help you navigate and begin the healing process. As your Behavioral Health Coach, I will help you understand how you have carried around impulsive reactions for a very long time. It worked when you were a child, but is not working for you now. Your impulsive response starts in childhood and is carried into adulthood. Pain of any kind stays with us until addressed. The emotional wounding you are carrying started in childhood and never grew up with you. It becomes frozen and shows up when something triggers it. The more you push away the wounded child, the more it insist on coming out when it feels threaten. I will walk you through the transformation healing process and give you functional response tools. This will allow you to feel more balanced and begin the journey of healing and forgiving yourself.
Power To Heal LLC provides 2 Types Of Coaching

Relationship Coaching
As your Relationship Coach, I will help you navigate the devastating impact of infidelity in your marriage. I will help you become aware of patterns of behaviors that started in your early childhood that is causing you to making impulsive decisions in your adulthood. Why Choose Me?
There are many life coaches working in the field today. Although, I am trained in 6 areas of life coaching, I specialize in relationship and behavioral health counseling. I have over 15 years experience counseling men and women who are struggling with infidelity. By definition, infidelity or cheating, is the act of being unfaithful to a spouse or other partner. It typically means engaging in sexual or romantic relations with a person other than one’s significant other breaking a commitment or promise in the act. My main goal is to provide a safe space for my client to explore and process their emotions or feelings. I help my client find answers to why they chose to cheat and how to prevent making this decision again in their current and/or future relationships. I use techniques tailored to my clients. My coaching style includes Cognitive – Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness to help my clients make the connection between their thoughts, feelings and behaviors.

Signs; You need a coach:
Here are some signs. If these sings manifest in you, you will know that you need a coach.
- Eating and sleeping habits have changed. Either you’re getting too much or not enough of either. Either can be detrimental.
- You no longer enjoy the things that you used to. Maybe you aren’t so zen in yoga class anymore and start skipping them. Or Sunday tee-time just isn’t giving you the joy it did before.
- Your emotions are turned up to 12! Find yourself crying in the bathroom at work (more than usual)? Or instead of just murmuring curse words at the driver who cut you off, you actually try to start a fight with them.
- Social situations are a no go. You want your friends to stop inviting you to get-togethers, and every RSVP is left unchecked.
- Unhealthy habits are becoming problematic. We automatically think of drinking and drug use when this comes up. But this could also involve excessive shopping, excessive dieting, risky behaviors, etc.
- Your relationships aren’t being nurtured. You have arguments with your spouse or partner. Snapping at your children. Ignoring your friend’s phone calls and texts.
- Something horrible happened. You’ve experienced a trauma that has shaken you to your core. Trauma isn’t just for combat soldiers. A car accident, affair, loss of a loved one, or anything you feel is traumatic – is trauma.
- You’re unsure of who you are. Understanding ourselves better can help us break maladaptive patterns of behavior or allow us to give ourselves more grace.
- Your support network is diminished or nonexistent. Everyone needs someone to talk to and process with. Therapy is a great place to receive the validation and support that you deserve.
- Nothing else has helped. You’ve tried exercising. You’ve tried meditation. You even tried reading that crazy self-help book your love one recommended. But nothing seems to give you relief.
